Confidentiality
ShredAssured upholds the highest quality document and material destruction techniques to ensure your confidentiality. ShredAssured is a National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) member. This means ShredAssured strictly adheres to the NAID "Code of Ethics", and strives to be the foremost paper shredding and data destruction company in South Florida.
Facility
Our plant facility doors are always monitored and I.D. badge entry is required to gain access to our shred area. Our delivery bay doors are always locked. Strategically placed digital video surveillance cameras monitor our facility 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Our state of the art security system records and keeps a video record of activity for a minimum of three months. ShredAssured’s entire facility is also equipped with a dedicated, monitored alarm system for added security. At all times, materials are attended by a company employee or physically secured from unauthorized access while awaiting destruction with NO visitor access to the area unless escorted by a ShredAssured employee.
Destruction Process
All collection equipment (containers, cabinets, bags or boxes) are kept closed or locked until the confidential data is ready to be shredded by ShredAssured employees inside our secure destruction area. Documents are destroyed to a particle size no wider than 5/8″ shred width. Once shredded, the material is commingled with other recycled paper to further separate information. This paper is immediately baled and shipped to paper mills for recycling. ShredAssured destroys all materials on the same day of acceptance. Paper received in our locking security containers are often shredded within minutes of arrival as an added security measure.
Secure Mobile Trucks
ShredAssured vehicles have applicable government inspections, registration, insurance, lockable and secure cabs, and lockable and secure enclosed cargo areas. Our mobile shredding trucks are often utilized by clients who prefer or need to oversee the destruction of their documents at their facility. Mobile shredding offers exceptional control over your company’s most sensitive information.
We do all this to ensure that no unauthorized persons will ever have access to your confidential information. You can entrust us with your sensitive material for peace of mind.
Employee Hiring and Screening
Laws governing information protection are strict – both in how your information is handled and who handles it. Every potential ShredAssured employee undergoes a background check and critical application review to verify he or she meets our rigid security standards.
- Comprehensive background checks are performed on all employees prior to hiring.
- Employees must sign a confidentiality agreement before employment begins.
- Employees are drug screened at the time of hire and randomly screened throughout the year as permitted by law.
- To maintain their certification, all drivers must submit to ongoing, random drug testing by an independent firm.
- Drivers must meet state licensing requirements.
- Pre-
employment criminal background and pre- employment history check are performed for all drivers. - ShredAssured maintains written policies for drivers and processing employees.
- Drivers and other service and processing employees wear company uniforms and photo ID badges to aid in verifying their identity.
- ShredAssured is a member of the National Association of Information Destruction, and our employees must adhere to the “Code of Ethics" as detailed by NAID.
- All drivers are courteous, respectful, and comply with our appearance and behavior standards.
Certificate of Destruction
Official ShredAssured Certificates of Destruction are provided to all of our customers verifying that your materials were properly destroyed. The Certificate includes the date that shredding service was performed as well as the amount of material collected for the customer’s records.
